Race rosters change, especially in a place where the weather changes on a daily, sometimes hourly basis. It’s what makes us South Dakotans so tough, after all.
DAKOTAMAN is no exception. Since we posted the race preview on Sunday morning, a few noteworthy triathletes have thrown their hats into the proverbial Lake Alvin ring. Among those we think have potential to podium include Madman Mini champ Justin Manning. We also expect Nathan Stearns, who’s had a nice showing at all three of the SDTA races so far and currently holds a spot in the top ten of the points standings, to bring some competition to the race.
The DAKOTAMAN powers that be haven’t posted any changes yet regarding the venue, so hopefully the intense rains that hit southern Sioux Falls in the past 24 hours won’t affect this race. Regardless, because of the long-standing quality of this race, we’re confident here that the heartiest of triathletes will show up and help make this a great race overall.
